ACANTHUS
On Thursday 8th October 1981 I went to Chipping Norton Theatre to see a then new band called ACANTHUS. This band was made up of local guys from Chipping Norton and featured on keyboards and backing vocals my then swimming coach TERRY BREEZE (in the picture above he is on the right).
The band performed old rock classics such as BLACK NIGHT and PARANOID as well as performing two of their own songs, ADRIAN and VALLEY OF THE UNLOVED.
The track VALLEY OF THE UNLOVED was recorded soon after the concert and appears on 'Clutching At Straws' catalogue number WFE 101 released in 1982.
The Line-up of ACANTHUS was:-I really enjoyed this concert and I think my fellow school mates, whom I went with, did as well.
